The Way You Love Me

You've rescued me from sorrow,
You've shown me true happiness,
You've opened up you're heart,
Even with fear, you've loved me more than I thought I deserved
And now I wake up with a smile on my face,
Anxiety inside because I can't wait to see you.
A knowledge that you will always be mine...
I never knew that this much happiness could exist,
And it's all because of you.
I always try to thank you for all that you've done,
But when I look into your gorgeous eyes,
I am overwhelmed with love
And forget the words that were once at the tip of my tongue.
Thank you for stealing the pain from my heart,
And replacing it with beautiful thoughts of you.
Thank you for being my best friend,
By showing me that I'm special to you,
By helping me smile when my lips refused to,
And for loving me in the ways most people aren't capable of.
Thank you for being you
And allowing me to realize that you are my sweet,
sweet soulmate, lover, and my best friend...
For today...until forever. I love you.
