My Prayer to Find You...

Long ago, I sent a prayer to find the one
Higher, and higher, it reached the sun
True and steady, was this call of mine
To find a love, a love divine
All my life, I’ve searched this world
To find this one special girl
One to love, one to care
But to find, I knew not where
Long after, my search unfinished
But my hope, not diminished
God had sent an angel true
This lovely angel, it was you
