Love Poem #77258
Tears on Distant Shores
by Nicholson
As I walk along the beach, alone, I gaze out to the sea,
Are you there, on that far distant shore?
Do we both know that our love cannot be?
And, on that other shore, the tears stream down your face, and silently, you begin to cry
But, what a difference to our love, makes that 12,000 miles!
I love you more every day, my dear, and I'm sure that you love me
And when we meet on that fine, joyful day, we shall feel one anothers love shining through
Until then, we will know each other's sadness, and feel each others tears,
On those two distant shores
