When you hurt the heart that loves you You feel so low and feel so blue When you hurt the heart that can never hurt you You can never make it up, no matter what you do When you hurt the heart that never gives you pain You start your journey towards going insane When you hurt the heart that always smiles Then you lose the strength to walk for miles When you hurt the heart that calms you fears You set your sails in the ocean of tears When you hurt the heart that rocks your world Then it’s guilt and confusion in which you’re hurled When you hurt the heart that never gives you worry Your life can never calm it’s always in a hurry When you hurt the heart that is always ready to give Then you’re dead, no matter how long you live When you hurt the heart that makes everything right Then you step in the strange world of fright When you hurt the heart that can never see you sad You commit a crime that is so bad When you hurt the heart that leads you through the secret ways Then life becomes dull no matter how festive are the days When you hurt the heart that gives you the sight Then the days seem dark in the light so bright When you hurt the heart that loves you so much You begin to lose the pure innocent touch When you hurt the heart that gave your life a start Then from you happiness and peace are really far apart
