The night I first met Michael, it was by accident. I was staying the weekend with my friend, Tracy. We were getting ready to meet her boyfriend, Josh, at a local teen hangout.

As we were getting ready, Josh called to say he was bringing a friend. An hour later we were standing outside waiting for the guys to show up.

When I first saw him, he was gorgeous. He had on tight blue jeans, a button up shirt, cowboy boots and a black coyboy hat. He came walking up to us with Josh and I almost fainted.

We stood in line to get in and he was right behind me. The first thing we did when we got in was go watch the guys on the mechanical bull. Of course he had to get up there and show off. he actually stayed on.

The five of us, me, Michael, Tracy, Josh, and Tracy's sister Golda, went and danced for awhile. Then we went back to watch the mechanical bull.

After Michael rode it again, and fell off, we were standing there and I decided I wanted to dance. I asked Michael to dance with me but he didn't hear me. I started to walk off.

I decided to try again and when I turned around, I ran into him. Right into his strong chest. We walked up to the dance floor but couldn't get up there. I felt Michael reach down to grab my hand and he whispered, "Watch this."

He pulled be onto the dance floor and we started dancing. The only thing was that everyone else was country line dancing, so we decided to try it. By the end of the song, we had it down to a "T".

The rest of the night was so much fun. Golda got a little mad because she also liked Michael but he didn't like her. By the end of the evening, we had talked a pretty good bit.

He and I even had an ice fight. I poured ice all down his shirt and he dumped ice all down the front of my dress. We left the club around 1 a.m. and took Michael to where his girlfriend worked.

By the seccond time we saw each other, more than 2 months later, Michael had broke up with his girlfriend. Tracy, Josh, Michael, Golda and I went back to the club.

He flirted with me all night. Dumb me didn't realize it but Golda did and she was furious. By the end of that night, he admitted to me how much he liked me and he asked me out. I told him no for two main reasons.

One was because I live so far away from him. The other was because I am 5 years younger than Michael and I didn't think it was fair for him to have a young girlfriend that he could hardly see. The hidden reason I said no was because I was in a relationship that was going nowhere.

About three weeks later, I went back to Tracy's house. Michael and I had been writing and we both admitted about how much we cared for each other. That night, I asked him about where all this put us.

He told me that it was up to both of us. I never gave him a straight answer so he asked me out. I told him "yes."

Surprisingly, the relationship has worked out. Michael and I have been together 14 months. They have been the best months of my life. Despite every obstacle, the distance, my parents, and other things, we have worked through it all together.

We have even discussed moving in together and eventually getting married. He is not only my Boyfriend, he is my best friend, my confident, my protection, and I love him with all of my heart.
