Meant To Be Together

Matthew and I met on Jan. 1st 1998 in a chat room, what a place. We both went into the chat room to try and get away from our previous bad relationships. I made fun of something he did and we began to talk. We skipped the usual looks, age, etc. and went straight to our true feelings on love. Our feelings were IDENTICAL!
The next afternoon he called my house, I could have died when I heard his wonderful NJ accent (Verses my Arkansan accent). We began to meet every night in the chat room to talk about anything and EVERYTHING. Then he began to call me every night and every afternoon after school to say he loved me. The night calls lasted for hours. This kept up for around 2 months, and then money situations became a burden. Our love never decreased. The phone calls were cut back to Wednesday nights (to celebrate another week together), and when ever either of us could buy a calling card.
Our schedules are hard to balance with school, his work, me soon looking for it and both of us trying to manage good grades. With that and our age, meeting is extremely hard. He has a car, but things always seem to get in our way of being together. Those things have not burdened our love though! In both of our minds this relationship is like 2 very busy business people on road trips all the time. We are both EXTREMELY committed to each other! We are best friends, as well as boy and girl friend, but for us it doesn't stop there, we are SO much more. He is my confidant and I his, my source, my love, my life, my world, the holder of my heart, the feeler of my pain, the breath that I live on. I thank God everyday for his love, for giving me someone whether together or not that can understand me, and be there to listen and to cry to when I need him. Someone to tell me that he loves me with all his love... someone to tell me I am beautiful and his world. He reminds me all the time of the shallow person he would be without me... and we remind each other of how strong we are now, because of this LOVE FIGHT! We have been together since, and these have been the best months of our lives! Thank you for this opportunity to tell of our love and encourage others. We know we are truly meant to be held in each other’s arms, whether now or later... lovers or just best friends. We are soul mates!
