Love Story #1908
Standing In The Gap/symbolism in rare form

One beautiful sunny day in the country
of upstate New York I was walking across what
seemed to be the smallest bridge I have ever laid eyes upon .It was also the most breathtaking I have
ever had the pleasure of looking at .Something so
strange and unusual about this tiny bridge seemed
to loom out at me . It made me feel peaceful and
and safe . Below this tiny bridge was a small stream of water surrounded by beautiful rocks,
trees and a rabbit oh yes a light brownish rabbit with a white bob tail and gorgeous big round eyes
that seem to dart back and forth looking around.
As I gazed around I realized that rabbit was looking directly into my eyes as if pleading
for me to come pick him or her up and bring him or her up on the bridge . It appeared to be a desperate
look of "please open your heart to me and come get me and place me where you are . " you see down
below where the rabbit was although he had water
a few berry trees and places where he could disappear he knew I was in the safest place on the bridge , for there was peacefulness , loving arms ,
and safety in that bridge of life . I knew it as I gazed out from being on it ,the rabbit instinctively
knew it also . A bridge protects , it gives hope
to the hopeless , it gives life to those threatened
by disaster, it brings peace of mind to a soul in turmoil by having the calming effect of being
there and being strong although it seemed tiny .
Somethings in life are not always what they seem .
It seems that rabbit would have rather stayed below but even he knew the danger of not being
above on the bridge which could bring safety and protection , peace and tranquility to him . That
rabbit knew instinctively that man is cruel and not to be trusted yet as he peered into my eyes
he knew that something here was different ,the peace that radiated all around like an aura of
tranquility he allowed me to pick him up from
where he was to bring him into the place where I
stand as for me that place is Father God. who
else would stand in the gap of life for us . Whom
else would pick us up and carry us when we can't
go that extra yard anymore only a true and loving
Father who gave up His only begotten son that we might have a right to the tree of life no greater love
than this can we ever come to experience .
ISAIAH54:10
FOR THE MOUNTAINS MAY BE REMOVED AND THE
HILLS MAY SHAKE ,BUT MY LOVINGKINDNESS WILL
NOT BE REMOVED FROM YOU, AND MY COVENANT
OF PEACE WILL NOT BE SHAKEN
though your earthly relationships may come and
go ,the love and presence of God remains steadfast
