Forbidden Love

3 years ago, I met my true love. I wasn't even looking. I met him at an airport. He was a good friend of my sister. He came down to where I live to attend my sister's wedding. When we met, I knew there was something bout him, I just couldn't figure out what. We weren't close during the times when he was down here. Than at my sister's wedding, we gave a speech to my sister and brother-in-law. After the night of the wedding, we became real close and started to talk alot. When it was time for him to fly back, I said good-bye to him. That evening, when he arrived over there, he gave me a call and we talked for hours. We became close friends. I wanted to hook him up with one of my close friend. But it didn't work out for them. We talked for 5 months straight. Than, in June of 2000, he asked me to be his girl friend. I told him to let me think bout it. It took me 3 days to answer him. I finally said yes to him. That was the smartest thing that I had ever done. I grew to love, respect and honor him. We've been together for 3 years now. But we have been through hardship and all kind of weather. You see, our love is forbidden. My parents is cool with his parents. But the thing is that he was adopted when he was young to my aunt and uncle. And to our parents, it's a chinese traditon to not be together. Cuz they think we are cousins. But we're not by blood. And we both love each other dearly. Our parent's don't know about us. And we don't know will we ever tell them. We almost got caught so many times. We have cried so many times and been through tears and laughters. Our love still exist till now. I don't know what we will ever do. But our love is a forbidden love. I hope that whoever has a love like ours, would overcome every thing. Remember, love is hard to find. When u find love, don't let it go. Cherish what u have and treasure the one by your side. Don't take things for granted.
